Nicole D. Galli focuses her practice on commercial litigation, including all forms of intellectual property (IP) litigation, and IP counseling, especially regarding trade secret protection.

Ms. Galli has litigated, through trial, a wide variety of IP and business disputes for clients in federal and state courts, administrative forums, and arbitration venues throughout the nation. She has worked in both litigation and counseling capacities with clients in numerous industries including medical devices, software, consumer electronics, consumer products, automotive, energy, hospitality, food and beverage, construction, manufacturing, health care, marketing and other service providers. Clients range from individuals and small start-up companies to the largest national and international companies, including a number of cultural institutions and other non-profits. After having spent over two decades in two AmLaw 100 firms, an intellectual property boutique firm, and a full-service regional firm, Ms. Galli founded the Law Offices of N.D. Galli LLC in 2015 to provide clients with sophisticated, first-in-class legal services in an innovative, efficient and customized manner that best suits their business needs.

Professional & Community Activities

Ms. Galli has a long history of giving back to the community and the profession.

Women Owned Law  Ms. Galli founded Women Owned Law (WOL), the first national networking organization for women owned law and legal services firms. WOL empowers women entrepreneurs to revolutionize the business of law through network building, education and other resources and advocacy in the marketplace. With a soft launch in the fall of 2016 that started in Philadelphia with a group of 8 women, WOL has approximately 200 members throughout the United States and has regional representatives in over 20 regions.

Intellectual Property and Trade Secrets  Ms. Galli is a member of the American Bar Association, where she served as the CLE Officer of the Section of Intellectual Property Law from 2016 to 2018. Ms. Galli is currently one of the IP Section’s Liaisons to the Licensing Executives Society’s IP Management Standards Setting Project, which is specifically focused on protecting trade secrets and other IP in the supply chain. She also serves on the IP Section's Trade Secrets Committee and is one of the co-chairs of the Trade Secrets sub-committee of the ABA Litigation Section's IP Litigation Committee. In the winter of 2017, Ms. Galli participated in the first, invitation-only Sedona Conference on Trade Secrets and is a founding member of the new Sedona Conference Trade Secret Working Group that launched this year.

The Equity Project  Ms. Galli also serves as one of the “Equity Project Champions,” group of corporate and law firm leaders who will spread awareness of “Equity Project.” The Equity Project is a groundbreaking initiative of Burford Capital, a leading global finance and investment management firm focused on law, designed to help close the gender gap in law by providing an economic incentive for change through a $50 million pool of capital earmarked for financing commercial litigation matters led by women.

Additional Activities  Ms. Galli is a member of the Board of Directors of the Forum of Executive Women, where she also chairs the Committee overseeing the Forum Award for Emerging Women Leaders. Ms. Galli is also Chair of the Advisory Board of the Professional Women’s Roundtable, a networking group for emerging women leaders that she co-founded in 2002.
